Oliver Franz Berliner

Oliver Berliner has been performing since he was able to walk.  From violin to trombone, to the mic and to the stage, Oliver craves every avenue of engagement with the art and the audience.  In the fall of 2016, Oliver went to Harvard to study Mechanical Engineering (what?) and fully immersed himself in Harvard's vibrant arts scene, joining the Harvard Glee Club and its a cappella subset Glee Club Lite, as well as the Harvard College Opera.  He studies voice with Bradford Gleim.

Oliver was selected as a 2016 National Young Arts Winner and participated in Young Arts week in Los Angeles in February 2016.  He was also a 2015 semi-finalist in both classical and non-classsical voice categories in the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Competition and a semi-finalist in the 2015 Classical Singer Competition. He studied voice with Patrick Goeser of Chapman University.  Oliver was a member of the Glendale Youth Orchestra for 5 years, playing trombone and violin.  As a musical theater performer, Oliver has played the roles of Gabey in On the Town, Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, Jack in Into the Woods and Captain Hook in Peter Pan, for which he won a Noational Youth Arts Best Actor award.  A versatile musician,  Oliver plays jazz trombone in his High School Band King Chut, and plans to play with the Harvard Jazz Ensemble next season.
